GeoCric Editorial

Editorial standards and corrections policy

GeoCric exists to help fans follow and understand cricket. These standards explain how we handle explainers, live data and factual corrections.

Our editorial purpose

We publish clear cricket explainers, statistics, fixtures and match coverage for fans at every level. We aim to add context and practical understanding, rather than simply repeat a score or headline available elsewhere.

Sources and verification

For rules, tournament information and rankings, we prefer the relevant governing body, competition organiser or official scorecard. For live coverage, data can be supplied by cricket data providers and may be revised as an innings or match is confirmed. Time-sensitive claims are checked before publication and updated when better primary information becomes available.

Explainers and analysis

Our Learn articles are prepared by GeoCric Editorial to explain cricket rules, tactics and statistics in plain language. Where an article includes an interpretation or a simplified example, it is presented as explanation rather than as an official rule or live fact. Articles show their update date so readers can judge their freshness.

Corrections

Accuracy matters more than speed. If we identify a material error, we correct the page promptly and update its displayed date where appropriate. To report an error, include the page URL and supporting source in an email to hello@geocric.com.

Editorial independence

Advertising or commercial relationships do not determine our factual conclusions. Sponsored material, if published, should be clearly identified so it is distinct from editorial content.
