Cricket Teams — International & Franchise
This page covers every major men's and women's cricket team competing at international and franchise level. The international section lists all twelve ICC Full Members — Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Zimbabwe, and Afghanistan — plus the leading Associate nations. Each team card links to a dedicated profile page with squad lists, recent form, head-to-head records against other sides, and series schedules. Use the format tabs to filter by Test, ODI, and T20I sides, since several nations field different squads across formats and some Associate nations compete only in T20Is.
The franchise section covers the ten biggest leagues worldwide. The Indian Premier League (IPL) features ten franchises competing each April–May; it is the world's richest cricket competition and the one most likely to feature every elite international player in simultaneous action. The Pakistan Super League (PSL, February–March) fields six franchises and regularly surfaces emerging Pakistani talent. South Africa's SA20 (January–February) has six franchises backed by IPL ownership groups. Australia's Big Bash League (BBL, December–January) runs eight city-based teams across the domestic summer. The UAE-based ILT20 (January) and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL, August) complete the men's global franchise calendar.
Women's franchise cricket is expanding rapidly. The Women's Premier League (WPL, February–March) launched in 2023 with five franchises backed by IPL ownership groups; it is the first professional women's T20 league to offer fully contracted player salaries comparable to the men's game. The Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) runs eight teams across the Australian summer and has been the template for women's franchise cricket globally. The Hundred (England, July–August) fields eight city-based teams in the 100-ball format — men's and women's competitions run in parallel.
