Scotland
Captain: Richie Berrington
About
Cricket Scotland has steadily grown from a regional Associate to a genuine qualifier for major ICC events. Scotland reached the Super 12 stage of the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup in Australia — their most successful World Cup campaign — with captain Richie Berrington hitting a century in the tournament. The Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh serves as Scotland's primary international ground, with a passionate home support that punches well above the country's size. Scotland's strength lies in their domestic Caledonian league system which has produced several players who have gone on to county cricket in England. Their most notable recent result was a victory over England in a T20I in 2018. With a settled squad built around experienced players like George Munsey (who hit one of the fastest T20I half-centuries in history against Netherlands in 2019) and Calum MacLeod, Scotland are aiming to qualify for more ICC global events and consolidate their status in Associate cricket.
