Women's T20 WC 2026 Semi-Finals

Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Semi-Finals — Match Reports

The ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 semi-finals were played at The Oval, London, on 30 June and 2 July. Both matches produced decisive results. Australia and England advanced to the final at Lord's on 5 July.

Semi-Final 1: Australia beat West Indies by 8 wickets (30 June, The Oval). Australia chased down West Indies' total of 125 in just 13 overs, winning by 8 wickets with 42 balls remaining. Beth Mooney scored a match-winning 61 not out from 46 balls, anchoring the chase from the third over. West Indies had posted 125/7 off their 20 overs in a challenging batting track at The Oval, with Hayley Matthews top scoring on 38. Australia's bowling had been so dominant in the group stage that West Indies — who had eliminated defending champions New Zealand — faced an Australia side at full pace.

Semi-Final 2: England beat South Africa by 40 runs (2 July, The Oval, 18:30 BST). Nat Sciver-Brunt made 75 from 53 balls and Heather Knightadded 58 as England set South Africa a target of 170 from their 20 overs. South Africa, chasing a record target in Women's T20 WC semi-finals at this ground, were bowled out for 129/8 — Sophie Ecclestone and Charlie Dean sharing five wickets. England qualified for their second Women's T20 WC Final and first since their title win in 2009.

The Women's T20 World Cup uses a knockout semi-final format once the group stage is complete. The Group 1 winner plays the Group 2 runner-up, and the Group 2 winner plays the Group 1 runner-up. There is no third-place play-off. The two winners meet in the final, which has been held at a showpiece venue since 2016 — Melbourne's MCG (record crowd of 86,174), Capetown, Dubai, and now Lord's.
