The 2024 Pakistan Super League — the ninth edition of the tournament — was held in February and March 2024 across Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan. Islamabad United, who had previously won the PSL in 2016 and 2018, produced a commanding campaign through the playoffs to reach their third final. The defending back-to-back champions Lahore Qalandars were eliminated before the final, opening the door for a fresh confrontation at the National Stadium in Karachi. The final between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans was extraordinarily tense. Multan posted a competitive total and threatened to win as Islamabad lost wickets in the chase, but the United held their nerve to complete a 2-wicket victory and claim their third PSL title — establishing themselves as the most successful franchise in the league's history at that point.
