Christopher Henry Gayle — universally known as the 'Universe Boss' — is the most feared T20 opener in the history of the format. Born on September 21, 1979, in Kingston, Jamaica, Gayle turned destructive batting into an art form across all three formats over a career spanning more than two decades.

In Test cricket, Gayle was a different kind of force: a technically sound left-handed opener capable of monumental knocks.
