The Death Overs (Overs 41–50): Acceleration and Finishers

The death overs are the most high-variance phase of ODI cricket. With the score visible and the required total calculable, the bowling side deploys their best bowlers in specific roles — yorker specialists, slowing-pace variations, off-stump attacking lines with a deep extra cover for the slice — while the batting side attempts to accelerate the run rate toward 10+ per over.
