South Africa needed 16 off the last over bowled by Hardik Pandya and were restricted to 169/8 — India winning by 7 runs as Suryakumar Yadav took a brilliant boundary catch in the final over to dismiss David Miller.

Suryakumar caught David Miller's pull shot at the deep midwicket boundary, stepped outside the rope, released the ball inside, then caught it again on his way back in — a moment of extraordinary athleticism that proved India's match-winning play and went viral worldwide.

Kohli Retires from T20Is

Virat Kohli scored 76 in the final, his best T20I score in over a year, and then announced his retirement from T20 International cricket immediately after the victory — ending on the highest note possible. Rohit Sharma also announced his T20I retirement soon after, with both superstars choosing to exit at the summit rather than fade away. Hardik Pandya, who had faced public scrutiny all season, was named Player of the Final.
