Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds is the home of Yorkshire Cricket Club and one of England's most storied Test venues. Botham's Ashes 1981

The 1981 Ashes Test at Headingley is one of cricket's most celebrated matches. With England following on and seemingly heading for defeat, Ian Botham scored a remarkable 149* and Bob Willis took 8/43 in Australia's second innings to give England an improbable win. England had been available at 500-1 to win the match at one point during the game.

Ben Stokes 2019 — Another Miracle

Headingley produced another impossible miracle in 2019 when Ben Stokes scored 135* to win the Ashes Test for England with the last wicket standing. Stokes hit a six off the final ball he needed to, having batted through from a position where England needed over 70 runs with only Jack Leach for company. It stands as one of the greatest innings in Test history.

In recent years Headingley has undergone significant renovation including the development of a new stand. The ground remains one of England's most important Test venues, regularly hosting Ashes Tests and other international fixtures that maintain its reputation for drama and memorable moments.
