Zaheer Khan was born in Shrirampur, Maharashtra on 7 October 1978. A left-arm pace bowler with an excellent outswinger to right-handers, Zaheer became India's most reliable and skilful fast bowler between 2000 and 2014. Zaheer was central to both of India's major ICC title wins during his career. In the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 — India's first T20 World Cup — his death bowling was decisive.
