About PSL 2026

The Pakistan Super League is the premier T20 franchise competition in Pakistan, organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board and typically played from March to May. PSL 2026 ran from 26 March to 3 May, featuring six franchises — Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, and Quetta Gladiators — competing across Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi in a league phase followed by Eliminators and the final. The competition serves as the primary pathway for domestic Pakistani talent to reach international selectors, while also hosting overseas players from England, Australia, the West Indies, and beyond. Peshawar Zalmi, one of the founding franchises and previous PSL champions, claimed the 2026 title in a season that underlined their squad depth and consistency through the knockout rounds. The PSL has grown steadily in broadcast reach since its inaugural edition in 2016, now commanding one of the highest television audiences of any franchise league outside the IPL. PCB schedules the competition to avoid clashes with the ICC calendar, making PSL a consistent marquee event for fans across Pakistan, the United Kingdom, and the Pakistani diaspora worldwide.
