What Is the ILT20?
The International League T20 (ILT20) is the United Arab Emirates' official T20 franchise cricket league, launched in January 2023. It is sanctioned by Cricket UAE and approved by the ICC as a 'Tier 1' league, which allows international players to participate without jeopardising their national contracts.
League Format and Structure
The ILT20 features six franchises based across UAE's three cricket venues: Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The league plays a round-robin format culminating in knockout finals. The season runs for approximately six weeks during winter.
